This temple is also called Kyutaiji Temple (9 bodies temple) because 9 Amida Buddhas line up in the long main hall. It is a famous temple that represents the Kamo area. A three-storied pagoda which stands out in the thick forest, poking its head in the sky, and the main hall which reflects the refined and elegant scenery in the Ajiike pond, are architectural treasures from the Fujiwara culture.
